Federal Prosecutor Development Program
The Federal Prosecutor Development Program (FPDP) is designed to ensure that new and existing federal prosecutors gain the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be effective working-level prosecutors through a formal approach. The intention of the FPDP is to develop entry-level prosecutors (LP-01) to the Counsel - working level (LP-02).
As an employee in the FPDP, you will gain meaningful trial and court experience where you will work on high profile and complex cases. Prosecutors go to court regularly and acquire immediate trial experience that many private litigators must wait years to obtain.
Participation in the program will typically take four years. Employees may qualify for promotion sooner, if they have been assessed as fully demonstrating all program competencies and requirements.
