Your engagement with the PPSC via social media is in part governed by the Terms of Service/Use of the relevant third-party social media platform providers, as well as the following Terms and Conditions. The PPSC has no control over the social media platform providers’ Terms of Service/Use, but you are strongly encouraged to read them in addition to those that follow.

Content and Frequency

Our social media accounts are used to communicate and interact directly with you. We use them as an alternative method of sharing the content posted on our Web site, facilitating access to Government of Canada information and services, and providing stakeholders with an opportunity to interact in an informative and respectful environment.

Because the social media platforms servers are managed by third parties, our social media accounts are subject to downtime that is out of the PPSC’s control. We accept no responsibility for third-party platforms becoming unresponsive or unavailable.

Links to other websites

Our social media accounts may post or display links for Web sites that are not under the control of the PPSC. These links are provided solely for the convenience of users. We are not responsible for the information found through these links; nor do we endorse the sites or their content.

Our social media accounts are public. They are not hosted on Government of Canada servers. Official Languages

The PPSC maintains Twitter and Linkedln accounts in both official languages, and is committed to ensuring that our information is available in English and French and that both are of equal quality.

Each social media platform we use has language options and provides instructions on how to set your language preferences on that site.

We reply to comments in the official language in which they are posted. If we think the response is a question of general public interest, we may respond in both official languages.

We may share links that direct users to sites of organizations or other entities that are not subject to the Official Languages Act and available only in the language(s) in which they are written.
